Bluegill Fest - May 21st, Pratt County Lake
The Blue Gill Fest will be held at Pratt county lake, 2.5 miles east of Pratt, Kansas on May 21st, 2011.
This 51 acre lake is located near Kansas Wildlife and Parks Region 3 Office and stocked with channel cat, crappie, largemouth bass, walleye, wiper, and bluegills. This lake is 10 ft deep at its maximum with normal water level.
A light weight fly rods (3 - 5 wt) are recommended for bluegills along with small streamers (wooly bugger, slump buster, bait fish patters), small terrestarials (stimulator, PMX, Charlie boy, Chernobyl ant), medium size mayfly nymphs (prince, hares mask, pheasant tail, copper john), and other local patterns are recommended. Be sure to bring plenty of water, lunch, and sun block, and other personal needs. Valid Kansas fishing license is required to participate in this event.
